Keepers of the Dream Community Arts Celebration Held At Kentucky Center by BWW
News Desk (Jan. 15 5:00 AM) - The Keepers of the Dream Community Arts Celebration will include the presentation of Mayor Greg Fischer’s Annual Freedom Award and the ArtsReach Living Vision Awards, as well as performances by Alvin Ailey II dancer (and ArtsReach alumni) Aqura Lacey, the River City Drum Corp, the Louisville Central Community Center & Portland Neighborhood House with opera singer Gregory Rahming, Peace Education Program Choir, the ArtsReach Dance Studio from Cabbage Patch Settlement House, and the ArtsReach Violin Studio with local jazz/soul violinist Maestro J & jazz pianist Harry Pickens. |

Stage One Family Theatre Presents NUMBER THE STARS, 2/19 by BWW News Desk (Jan. 6 7:46 PM) - During the German occupation of Denmark in World War II, the Nazis closed down Jewish-owned businesses and began to round up the Jews for relocation to concentration camps. Danish freedom fighters of all ages risked everything in daring, hurried attempts to rescue the entire Jewish population. In this stirring play, young Annemarie and Kirsti Johansen face soldiers, interrogations, personal danger, the loss of loved ones and their own fears as they try to help their friend Ellen Rosen escape across the ocean to Sweden. CATS Launches National Tour in Savannah by BWW News Desk (Dec. 13 1:09 PM) - Produced by CATS-Eye, LLC, CATS launches a national tour this month in Savannah Georgia. With original direction by Trevor Nunn and choreography by Gillian Lynne, this is the CATS credited with the British invasion of Broadway. CATS celebrated its 30th anniversary on May 11, 2011, holding its place as the longest continuously touring Broadway musical in history. |
