CHAGALL IN SCHOOL, a dramatic comedy, presents the story of Marc Chagall and the social change after the Russian Revolution. This Louisville premiere explores art, connection, and freedom.

Pandora Productions has announced the retirement of long-time Producing Artistic Director and actor Michael J. Drury.  After nearly 25 years at the helm of the critically acclaimed Louisville theatre company Pandora Productions, Michael J. Drury is stepping down from his role to retire at the end of the 2023-24 season.

Bunbury Theatre presents The Weir by Conor Mcpherson ​at The Henry Clay Theatre in October. The performance is set for Friday, October 13, 2023 at 7:30PM. Tickets are $12-22.

Performances and the cast have been revealed for the regional premiere of the musical The Prom. Each performance at The Henry Clay Theatre August 11 - 26 will include a community Prom experience complete with refreshments for sale, photo opportunities, a Prom royalty selection, along with dancing before the show and at intermission.

Joe Calarco’s R&J re-imagines the classic story of history’s famous doomed lovers as a modern coming-of-age tale in this co-production between Kentucky Shakespeare and Pandora Productions, Louisville’s only theatre company exclusively dedicated to telling stories of LGBTQ+ communities.

Artistic Director Tony Prince and Producing Director Richard McGrew announce that The Liminal Playhouse is going out with a bang with its nineteenth Louisville premiere and final production: “Edward Gant’s Amazing Feats of Loneliness” by Anthony Neilson opening May 26. Written in 2008 but set in 1881, this play is the final performance of a Victorian theatre troupe led by an opium addict. An odd combination of melodrama, comedy, and fairy tale, it is a strange, and at times grotesque, exploration of loneliness, love, memory, the ephemeral nature of life and of theatre itself.

Los Angeles-based indie rock band Near Beer — Joey Siara (vocals, guitar), Brent Stranathan (drums), Jeremy Levy (bass, backup vocals) — have shared a brand new single entitled 'Yelling at a Dog.' It comes off their self-titled album. The band describes the album as a set of 'mini-anthems about insomnia, drinking, and human connection.'

The 62nd season of Kentucky Shakespeare Festival in Central Park will run May 25-August 7, 2022 – the longest professional run in company history. The season will include productions of Twelfth Night, Richard III, and The Merry Wives of Windsor, plus the Globe Players professional training program with Much Ado About Nothing, and more.

Black Pearl Sings! will be performed at The Historic Dock Street Theatre next year. Performances will run March 9 - 27, 2022. The production is by Frank Higgins with direction by Henry Clay Middleton.
